Located in rural Thurston County, the seat of the Washington State Capital. The winery is nestled on a prominent hilltop with a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier and surrounded by 20 acres of Douglas fir forest.
The winery is a contemporary structure, fairly simple in design, but created to maximize efficiency of production and quality control in all phases of winemaking. Grapes are trucked in from Eastern Washington, processed on our covered crush pad, then go to either fermenter or tank to eventually become the new wine. From there, the wine is gently moved to barrel for aging until its eventual bottling.
The Salida wine bar is located in Yelm, one of the favorite routes to Mt. Rainier. The wine bar has two rooms: a sit-at-the-bar bistro experience and an additional room with comfortable seating for more intimate conversation. Both rooms have been newly renovated with a large bar that can easily accommodate eight people. Bistro bar tables are scattered against dramatic floor to ceiling radius windows, giving the space an open and expansive feeling.
Our customers like to just hang out with a glass of wine and a plate of cheese, olives, roasted peppers, and sundry charcuterie bites. Rather than simply a location to taste our wines, the Salida Wine Bar offers a warm and comfortable setting where friends can relax and linger.
During the summer months, the Wine Bar will offer outside seating for those somewhat rare warm, balmy nights. We share the courtyard with Casa Mia, so it should be a great place to appreciate the Alfresco setting with a glass of Salida wine and a slice of yummy pizza.
